I wrote this song after a long-time friend seemed surprised at my attitude towards something- which made me think of how much you really can make assumptions that can kick your ass- or,worse, break your heart! But staying in the center of who you are is where it’s at~ Cheers!

Perhaps so, especially since all I ever see are increasingly desperate pleas to “Lookatme!!”" Checkout our music or we’ll keep bludgeoning you with bulletins!?” But the question remains- how DOES one get to the ears that might really be into your music? Ah-that is the 64$ question but in the meantime, I’ll take the good folks (Hi Tom!) at Myspace up on their kind offering of my OWN RADIO CHANNEL! Whoop! Wow- just returned from two very opposite beach travels- one in Mexico in shorts and one on Ore coast in parka! But both much-needed vacations-now ready to write some more new songs!!This is the year…. Happy New Year!!!

 I took my canoe out on 9/11on Alki and watched the sun go down and the moon come up…which reminded me of the continuity of life-no matter what befalls us-the cycles continue and it’s up to us to move forward with them or stay stagnant….I hope you are all moving forward in the areas you need to :}..cuz I think I am and am working om some new music and finding a place to record it! So- I’m finally back at The Sorrento Hotel - www.hotelsorrento.com-and would LOVE to see you swing by their fabulous Fireside Room this coming Sunday- It’s at 900 Madison Street from 7-9 and it’s FREE and a fabulous place to chill with great food and drink!
Then next week I travel to WallaWallaWashington to play at 3 Rivers Winery on Fri.Sept 23rd from 6-9-Whoop! Salud! Hopefully I can get a deal on a case of Syrah…..

Auditioning on a Whim!

Call me crazy, but I decided, at the last minute, to audition for The Voice in San Francisco!  I’m staying with my fabulous friend, Donnie, in the Lower Haight and tomorrow will have to navigate planes, trains, and automobiles to get to the audition in South San Francisco.
I’ll certainly try to take pictures of the audition to capture this pop culture experience!

about what it means to truly be true to yourself as a singer as well as a person…..last night was an epic music experience- and that’s truly the only way I can describe it…because she had some amazing visuals but first and foremost it was her- her voice,her presence-HER music- not catered to anyone else and it is as meaningful and timeless now as if it was 1987 last nite-and she LOOKS ageless, but that just makes me mad:}….!

  She sang a song I didn’t recognize,prefacing it with (In her uber-sexy purr)”If you are feeling that love isn’t for you or hasn’t found you-this song is for you..” I was transfixed-wish I knew the name…She has nevered wavered in who she is-she bowed to every single band member after introducing thme…the word authentic is bounced around alot- a blog I read by Bob Lefsetz (boblefsetz.com) discusses this very thing this week… Here’s an excerpt….

“Authenticity means you know how to play.
Authenticity means you don’t dance on stage, unless you’re spontaneously inspired, choreography is taboo.
