Biography

For Sue Quigley becoming a songwriter was inevitable. Navigating feeling different in a small town the nuclear plains of Eastern Washington.  Sue stole her sister’s guitar (abandoned for boys) and started writing songs at 13. Later it became a good way to pass the time between forest fires, college classes and open mics at a biker bar during college.

In 2004 Sue decided to take the leap into pursing her music career on a more consistent basis while working full time as a High School Drug and Alcohol Counselor. A bass-playing neighbor and the ensuing band was serendipitous in creating the drive in making the 1st cd”Outside In” a reality. In addition, it was listed in 2005 as the “Best New Artist” on Kweevak.com and streamed internationally. A cut from her 1st CD was featured at NXNE in Canada.

The 2nd CD”Perfect Chaos” was co-produced by Jon Ervie, (producer-Brandi Carlile)and was released in 2009. The album was in rotation nationally on college and AAA stations. In addition it was streamed around the world on stations in Italy,France,Germany and the Netherlands. The single “paper Tiger” was Runner- Up for Song of the Year 2010(http://www.songoftheyear.com/placements/SueQuigley) and a “GrIndie Award from RadioIndy.com. (http://www.radioindy.com/sue_quigley).

Sue has toured the West coast and performed in Dublin and Galway,Ireland. She has been featured on the main stage at the Bite of Seattle, Pride festival, Fremont Fair as well as the  Hard Rock cafe,Tractor Tavern, Crocodile and High Dive here in Seattle. Sue has shared the stage with Brandi Carlile, Vicci Martinez and Sera Cahoone and is currently working on new material for a new EP.
